Subaru Sets a New Record at the Nurburgring

Subaru has been building a specially made WRX STI, called the Type RA NBR Special, to set the record at the Nurburgring in Germany. Subaru has recently done their lap, which timed at 6 minutes and 57 seconds, which sets the record for four-door sedans.

Subaru has always provided some of the most legendary and impressive vehicles, but this iteration of the STI is by far the most impressive. It is specially tuned to have over 600 horsepower, and includes many performance-tuned parts to add extra traction and control. Although it is not a production level vehicle, it is still impressive to post the same time as a million-dollar Porsche hypercar.

A version of the Type RA, not a 600-horsepower performance tuned version, will be available to the public by early next year. Subaru is hoping that the amazing performance at the Nurburgring encourages people and piques their interest in the new model.
