Capable Performance
There are two Subaru BOXER engines available in the 2025 Outback. The 2.5L naturally aspirated engine produces 182 horsepower and 176 pound-feet of torque, while the 2.4L turbocharged engine in XT models cranks out 260 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque. Both pair with a Lineartronic CVT featuring an 8-speed manual mode. Of course, every Outback comes standard with Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive for superior traction and control in wet and snowy conditions around Norwich.
When properly equipped, the Outback can tow up to 3,500 pounds, enough for a small camper or boat. The Wilderness trim takes capability even further with all-terrain tires, 9.5 inches of ground clearance, and enhanced suspension for tackling extreme off-road trails.
